[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 31st that following the designation of Jinju City Yeonam Library as the first "Dementia Overcoming Leading Library" in June, Jinju City Seobu Library has been designated as the second Dementia Overcoming Leading Library.

The Dementia Overcoming Leading Library is a project in which dementia safety centers and libraries collaborate to deliver the latest dementia information through public libraries that are easily accessible to local residents and to improve negative perceptions about dementia.

The city has made available 50 dementia information books recommended by dementia experts from the Central Dementia Center, along with dementia-related publications, at a specially designated dementia overcoming book corner within the libraries for public use.

A city official stated, "Through the designation of these Dementia Overcoming Leading Libraries, local residents interested in dementia will be able to easily access information about dementia," and urged citizens to make active use of the facilities.
