[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 30th that it will accept applications for the 3rd Youth Unemployed cheer-up (Employment) Incentive from the 1st to the 7th of next month to provide emergency living expenses support for unemployed youth.
The eligible applicants are youths aged 18 to 39 residing in Gimhae City who have worked for more than 4 weeks at their most recent workplace and became unemployed after January 1 of this year. Selected applicants will receive 500,000 KRW per person.
Youths who became unemployed after working in other cities or provinces can also receive support if they meet the age, resident registration, and unemployment requirements. In addition to involuntary unemployed persons, those who voluntarily resigned due to prolonged unpaid leave and those unemployed due to the expiration of their labor contract period can also apply.
However, youths who are not included in the government's 4th disaster relief fund support target, high school students, and youths currently enrolled or on leave from university (including graduate school) are excluded.
Applicants will be individually notified after qualification screening, and the incentive payment is planned to be completed by the 17th of next month, before Chuseok.
Applicants can apply by submitting the application form and required documents through the city hall website or the City Hall Employment Policy Division.
