Next Month Marks the Start of the Autumn Housing Sales Peak... 44,145 Units to be Supplied Nationwide

[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] The peak season for autumn housing sales will officially begin next month.

According to real estate research firm Real Today on the 30th, approximately 44,145 housing units (including rentals, excluding officetels) are expected to be supplied nationwide in September. This is an increase of 26,411 units compared to this month's supply of 17,334 units.

Among these, 32,017 units are for general sale. More than half, 18,424 units, are in the Seoul metropolitan area, while the remaining 13,593 units are in other regions. Notably, the supply in the metropolitan area will increase significantly by 3.4 times compared to this month (5,479 units). In other regions, the supply will increase by about 15% compared to this month (11,185 units).

By city and province, Gyeonggi has the largest supply with 9,990 units (16 locations), followed by Incheon with 6,690 units (9 locations), and Daegu with 3,078 units (6 locations). In Seoul, 1,744 units (3 locations) are scheduled for sale.

Construction companies appear to be rushing to open model houses ahead of the Chuseok holiday. In Gyeonggi, where the largest supply is expected, large-scale complexes such as ‘Vermontro Gwangmyeong’ (3,344 units), ‘Pyeongchon Elproud’ (2,739 units), and ‘Suwon Gwonseon 6 District Redevelopment’ (2,178 units) are planned.

Additionally, in the metropolitan area next month, apartments such as ‘e-Pyeonhansesang Gangil Urban Bridge’ (593 units) in Block 10, District 3, Godeok Gangil Public Housing Complex, Sangil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul; ‘City OCELE 4 Complex’ (428 units) in Hakik-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon; ‘Hillstate Gwanggyo Central Station First’ (211 units) in Block C6, Gwanggyo Residential Development District, Iui-dong, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi; and ‘Dongducheon Central Station Elcrew The First’ (168 units) in Saengyeon-dong, Dongducheon-si, Gyeonggi are scheduled for supply.

In other regions, supplies include ‘Pohang I-Park’ (1,144 units) in Nam-gu, Pohang-si, Gyeongbuk; ‘Hillstate Dongin’ (941 units) in Dongin-dong 1-ga, Jung-gu, Daegu; ‘Hakgok District Moa Elga Grande’ (762 units) in Hakgok-ri, Dongnae-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon; and ‘Changwon Mudong Dongwon Royal Duke’ (525 units) in Buk-myeon, Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam.
