[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT announced on the 29th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Powon Solution, a company specializing in window-type ventilation systems, to produce an artificial intelligence (AI)-based window-type ventilation system.
KT will develop solutions and promote commercialization based on its AI, big data, and cloud capabilities. Its AI platform 'Giga Genie' and AI ventilation control platform will be linked with Powon Solution's ventilation system.
Powon Solution is developing a ventilation system that is easy to install in apartment complexes. This system is scheduled to be first applied at the newly constructed officetel site by Sangjin Construction in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, which is set to be occupied next year.
Yoo Yong-gyu, Senior Vice President and Head of KT Gangnam West Corporate Customer Division, stated, “Through the AI smart ventilation system combining the capabilities of KT and Powon Solution, indoor air quality in apartment complexes and multi-use facilities can be easily measured,” adding, “We expect this system to dramatically improve indoor air quality in the future.”
