According to health authorities on the 27th, Mr. A, a man in his 60s from Hamyang, Gyeongnam, received his second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine at around 10:30 a.m. on the 26th. About 30 minutes later, at around 11 a.m., he collapsed while eating at a restaurant in Hamyang-eup and was taken to the hospital but ultimately passed away. It is known that Mr. A had underlying health conditions.

A health official stated, "We are verifying whether there is a causal relationship between the vaccine administration and Mr. A's cause of death."
