Seoul Citizen Hall Presents '14 Projects' Directly Planned by 23 Citizens in September-October

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture announced on the 27th that from September to October, 23 members of the Citizen Planning Group will directly carry out '2021 Citizen Planning: 14 Projects Created by Citizens.'

The Citizen Planning Group will hold a series of online and offline programs over 54 days, starting with the exhibition at the Citizen Hall Gallery on September 1 titled ‘605.2; Where Did You Put Hope?’ and concluding with the online campaign ‘What's in My Courage’ on October 24.

This project, themed around ‘communication,’ ‘environment,’ and ‘recording,’ will present a total of 14 programs through exhibitions, workshops, and online formats, offering comfort to citizens weary from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the burdens of daily life.

Four exhibitions focusing on life in Seoul, communication through photography and writing, and encouragement for the 2030 generation will be held at venues including the Citizen Hall Gallery and Samcheong-dong Corner Gallery.

Workshops will cover various themes such as finding companion plants, creating family posters, planting seeds of hope, and a teahouse for communicating through the eyes. Programs utilizing online media such as campaigns and webzines will also be conducted. Six online programs, addressing themes like discovering a mother’s true self and practicing vegetarianism in an era of coexistence, will be held non-face-to-face via social network services (SNS) and live streaming.

More detailed information about the '2021 Citizen Planning Project' can be found on the Citizen Hall website and Citizen Hall Instagram.
