[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Jayjun Cosmetic (Jayjun) announced on the 25th that it has launched the ‘Malpyo Black Water Glow Mask’ in collaboration with ‘Malpyo Industry’ and will operate it as a limited edition with the concept of ‘Black,’ the signature color of both brands.
The newly released ‘Malpyo Black Water Glow Mask’ vividly embodies the black color of shoe polish and the mask sheet. The mask sheet uses a specially processed ‘Juktan Sheet’ made from bamboo charcoal obtained at a high temperature of 800 degrees Celsius to reduce skin irritation. It delivers nourishment to the skin with a soft adhesion and excellent essence absorption.
In addition, it contains Jeju oxygen water, which dissolves oxygen in volcanic bedrock water from clean Jeju, along with eight types of hyaluronic acid, betaine, trehalose, and other ingredients that help with moisture and vitality, providing a lively and water-glow effect to dry and dull skin, aiding skin care during the upcoming seasonal change.
The advertisement video for this new product launch was produced as a documentary supporting small business owners who live diligently every day. Through an interview with the owner of a shoe repair shop in front of Jayjun’s headquarters, it captures the real lives and traces of sweat of small business owners around us, and a campaign where their children support them is also underway.
A Jayjun representative said, “By collaborating with ‘Malpyo,’ a long-established brand with the power of an old trademark, we released a unique collaboration product that sensibly interprets Newtro (New+Retro) to approach consumers in a way that is unfamiliar yet familiar.”
He added, “Even during the difficult times of prolonged economic recession caused by COVID-19, we will expand sales through various attempts targeting the sensibilities of the MZ generation (born in the 1980s to 2000s), who seek new experiences.”
