Jaewon Kim Decides to Stop Controversial YouTube Appearances... "Sincerely Apologizes"
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Hong Joon-pyo, a presidential candidate from the People Power Party, announced on the 24th that he will demand disciplinary action against Kim Jae-won, a Supreme Council member.
Hong's presidential campaign organization, ‘Hope Camp,’ conveyed the request for disciplinary action against Supreme Council member Kim to the party leader's office through a spokesperson on the same day.
Earlier, Supreme Council member Kim appeared on a YouTube broadcast and, when asked if he planned to join forces with Hong, replied, "No. I don't like him. I think his chances of winning are slim."
In response, Hong's campaign stated, "He must take responsibility for violating the party's rules on neutrality during the primary and resign immediately," adding, "The person who poses a serious threat to the party's approval ratings due to repeated reckless remarks directed at the party leader and a specific candidate, as well as his unusual behavior of joining the Democratic Party's national electorate, is none other than Supreme Council member Kim."
Meanwhile, regarding the controversy over Hong's remarks, Supreme Council member Kim announced that he would "stop appearing on broadcasts." He also said, "The current method of spending hours gossiping about prominent politicians without a script and then editing the most interesting scenes into short plays inevitably leads to frequent accidents," and expressed, "I sincerely apologize to those who were hurt."
