The campaign, held at the KEPCO KDN intersection in Bitgaram-dong and Naju Station, areas with heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic, was carried out with the participation of Deputy Mayor Jeong Chan-gyun and about 10 related officials, involving banner promotions and distribution of flyers explaining the quarantine rules.
As of this date, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Naju area is 149, of which 131 have been discharged and 18 are currently undergoing treatment.
Screening clinics for COVID-19 testing are located at the Naju City Health Center, Naju General Hospital, and the Bitgaram-dong Administrative Welfare Center (temporary), and since the 17th, temporary screening clinics have been operating in apartment complexes in Bitgaram-dong, where the number of confirmed cases is high.
The remaining schedule is as follows: on this day at Yeongmu Yedam and Daegwang Rosebiang, on the 25th at Jungheung 1st and 2nd complexes, on the 26th at Jungheung 3rd (Liberty) and Easy The One, on the 27th at Daebang Elyum 1st and 2nd complexes, and on the 30th at Inocity Essiang.
Deputy Mayor Jeong Chan-gyun said, “With the nationwide spread of COVID-19 and the ongoing 4th wave, it is crucial for citizens to voluntarily comply with quarantine rules,” adding, “We ask visitors from other regions to be sure to get tested to prevent community spread.”
