[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, announced that Starlink, the satellite internet service of his space exploration company SpaceX, has secured 100,000 subscribers across 14 countries.
According to CNBC on the 23rd (local time), Musk stated on his Twitter that Starlink services are being provided in 14 countries and the number of subscribers has increased to 100,000, adding that in some countries they are waiting for business approval.
SpaceX started the Starlink beta service at the end of last year and announced last month that there were about 90,000 subscribers.
Recently, SpaceX has been promoting the expansion of Starlink services to airplanes, ships, and trucks.
So far, SpaceX has launched 1,740 satellites for Starlink and plans to deploy an additional 30,000 satellites to build the second-generation Starlink system.
