[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] On the 18th, Wanju-gun announced that it is promoting the establishment of an ‘Innovation City-type Sharing Economy Cooperative’ where relocated institutions and residents work together for the win-win development of the innovation city.
To this end, Wanju-gun had already recruited participants in April, and conducted sharing economy education in May and June to strengthen residents' capabilities and organize them.
Also, on the 13th of last month, with the cooperation of relocated institutions, it promoted a ‘Public Institution Donation Day’.
This event involves receiving donations of unused but reusable items from institutions and selling them.
A total of seven institutions located in Jeonbuk Innovation City participated, including Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation, Local Autonomy Human Resources Development Institute, National Pension Service, National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Rural Development Administration, Korea Publishing Culture Industry Promotion Agency, and Agricultural Technology Commercialization Foundation.
Wanju-gun plans to hold the 2nd and 3rd sales events at the same location from 4 PM to 8 PM on the 20th, and from 10 AM to 12 PM on the 21st.
The proceeds from the sales events will be used to establish a zero-waste shop in the sharing market (Samnak Local Market 2nd floor) located within the innovation city.
In September, the cooperative will be established to continuously operate the sharing market (including the zero-waste shop).
