"Why Ignore Me?" 50-Year-Old Arrested for Stabbing Acquaintance with a Weapon During Drinking Session

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 50s was arrested for stabbing an acquaintance with a weapon after feeling disrespected while drinking.

Seoul Gangseo Police Station announced on the 15th that Mr. A was detained on suspicion of attempted murder.

According to the police, Mr. A is accused of wielding a weapon at Mr. B while drinking with acquaintances in an apartment in Gangseo-gu at around 1:08 a.m. on the 11th.

The police, who responded to a report from another acquaintance present, urgently arrested Mr. A in front of a nearby convenience store.

Mr. B is receiving treatment at a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition without life-threatening injuries.

It is known that Mr. A committed the crime out of anger because Mr. B spoke disrespectfully to him.

A police official stated, "We are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident based on eyewitness accounts and the suspect's statements."
