Terazec Asia Co., Ltd. (CEO Kyungdong Kim), which holds patented technology for a pressure-regulated syringe dedicated to micro-needle patches, announced on the 13th that it has recently completed the development of a simple syringe for medical cartridge replacement and filed a patent for it.
With the application of this technology, anyone can easily apply micro-needle cartridge replacement and various active ingredients to the skin under standardized physical conditions through micro-needles.
A developer at Terazec Asia stated, “Various drug-delivery micro-needle patches being developed worldwide require easy and stable skin delivery technology for actual commercialization. To address this, our company completed the development of a simple syringe for micro-needle cartridge replacement recently, following the development of Korea’s first medical micro-needle pressure-regulated syringe earlier this year.”
He added, “In particular, this syringe allows skin adhesion for continuous drug delivery as well as the same physical usage conditions when applied to dissolvable and sustained-release micro-needle patches. Currently, our company is conducting various industry-academia joint research projects to standardize patches and has made significant progress.”
Terazec Asia is a Korean company that secured an exclusive license for the global pharmaceutical dissolvable micro-needle foundational patent from Terazec USA in 2019 and has been focusing on standardized technology research and development for the commercialization of medical patches since 2020.
