[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Galleria Department Store announced on the 12th that it will showcase a pop-up store themed around crafts at its luxury hall.

Galleria noted that recently, more customers have been using traditional crafts for unique interior designs, and will present various folk craft pop-up stores featuring ▲Moroccan rugs ▲Thai ceramic bowls ▲Persian carpets.

From now until the 18th, a pop-up store for the Moroccan traditional rug specialist brand 'Unglamouse' will be held. 'Moroccan rugs' are folk crafts created about 600 years ago by Moroccan nomads, characterized by diverse colors and unique designs. They are made from natural wool, commonly used even in hot countries, making them suitable for all seasons. Prices range from 300,000 to 3,000,000 KRW depending on size and design.

The Thai ceramic specialist brand 'Yanakan' pop-up store will also run until the 31st. 'Yanakan,' handcrafted by artisans at a pottery workshop in Bangkok, Thailand, offers ceramic products that combine vintage designs with modern sensibilities. It features a deep texture expressed by using only 100% natural clay and glaze sourced from various parts of Thailand. During the pop-up period, customers who purchase over 200,000 KRW will receive a complimentary mug. Product prices range from 30,000 to 400,000 KRW.

The Persian carpet specialist brand 'Narcissus Carpet' pop-up store will be held from the 19th to the 31st. Operating a showroom in Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu, 'Narcissus Carpet' carefully imports Persian carpets of excellent quality and diverse designs. They showcase Persian traditional styles such as ▲silk carpets ▲Naien ▲Kashan ▲Tabirz, with prices ranging from 2,000,000 to 10,000,000 KRW.

Additionally, the designer vintage furniture edit shop 'Collect' pop-up store will run from the 13th to the 31st. It will feature popular products by famous furniture designers rarely seen in Korea, including ▲FK82X lounge chairs ▲Borgemogensen cabinets ▲Isamu Noguchi coffee tables. This pop-up will present products from 'Oser,' which sells selected original furniture, and 'Muachi,' a vintage furniture shop showcasing a harmony of Eastern and Western styles.

A Galleria representative said, "With growing interest in interior design and artworks, more customers are seeking unique and exotic products such as carpets and crafts," adding, "We will continue to offer pop-up stores reflecting diverse customer tastes."
