[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) is discovering social economy enterprises with high growth potential.
Nam-gu is accepting applications for subsidy projects until the 17th for social enterprises registered in the district with a history of more than two years.
Enterprises currently receiving subsidies from similar projects this year are excluded, and companies that cannot conduct transactions with financial institutions or are undergoing bankruptcy or composition proceedings are also not eligible to participate. Companies that have caused social controversies such as delayed payments, subsidy embezzlement, administrative sanctions, or have unpaid national or local taxes are also excluded from the application.
Nam-gu plans to select the top two companies with the highest scores by evaluating social value activities such as coexistence and job sharing.
Leading companies will be supported with 3 million KRW per company for project expenses, and incentives such as priority purchase will be given for produced goods and services.
A Nam-gu official stated, "We will discover and support promising companies to revitalize the social economy and invigorate the local economy through the activation of the social economy."
