Yeogyeonghyeop Opens Applications for 'Female Head of Household Startup Fund Support Project'... Until the 25th

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association is accepting new applications for the 'Female Head of Household Startup Fund Support Project' until the 25th.

The Female Head of Household Startup Fund Support Project aims to stabilize household finances and establish economic independence through the startups of female heads of households. It is a flagship project of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, operating for about 21 years since 1999.

Eligible applicants are female heads of households supporting one or more family members, whose income is below 60% of the median income according to the National Basic Livelihood Security Act standards. Those who have already started a business can also apply if it has been less than one year since the business commencement date.

Selected female heads of households will receive support for store rental deposits up to 100 million KRW at a fixed interest rate of 2% for the first two years, with a maximum support period of six years.

The recruitment announcement can be found in the 'Funding' support project section on the Women Enterprise Comprehensive Information Portal, and applications can be submitted by registered mail or in person at any of the 17 branch offices nationwide.

Jung Yoon-sook, president of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, stated, "The female labor force participation rate in our country is 60%, ranking 33rd out of 37 OECD countries, indicating low social advancement of women," adding, "We hope this project will provide an opportunity for female heads of households to participate in society as economic agents."
