Reservation for COVID-19 Vaccination Open for Mokpo Citizens


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Seunghyun] Mokpo City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 5th that, according to the plan of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, advance reservations will be made for citizens aged 18 to 49 from 8:00 PM on August 9 to 6:00 PM on August 18.


This reservation system will be conducted in a 10-day rotation system to avoid congestion, where citizens whose birthdate's last digit matches the last digit of the reservation date can make a reservation online. The reservation time is from 8:00 PM on the corresponding date until 6:00 PM the following day.


For example, on the first day, August 9, only citizens whose birthdate ends with the digit 9 can make a reservation from 8:00 PM on August 9 to 6:00 PM on August 10.


If a reservation is not made during the 10-day rotation period, ▲ on August 19, citizens aged 36 to 49 ▲ on August 20, citizens aged 18 to 35 ▲ on August 21, citizens aged 18 to 49 can make reservations. From August 22 to September 17, all eligible individuals can make additional reservations and change vaccination schedules.


Vaccinations for those aged 18 to 49 will be conducted from August 26 to September 30 at vaccination centers and designated medical institutions using Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. Autonomous vaccination targets such as persons with disabilities and delivery workers plan to receive Pfizer or Moderna vaccinations at vaccination centers from August 17 to September 11.


Additionally, for citizens aged 60 to 74 who missed their reservations and vaccinations, advance reservations will be accepted until August 31, and vaccinations with the AstraZeneca vaccine will be administered at the Mokpo Hadang Health Center from August 5 to September 3.


A city official stated, “If you are not feeling well on the day of vaccination, please contact the vaccination institution where you made the reservation to reschedule, and we ask that you receive the vaccination when you are in good health.”
