[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Around 4:45 AM on the 5th, a fire broke out in a residential area in Ganeung-dong, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi Province.
One resident suffered second-degree burns from the fire, which burned down three houses and was extinguished by the fire authorities around 6:36 AM, approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes later.
Upon the outbreak of the fire, the fire authorities mobilized 54 personnel, including firefighters, and 51 firefighting vehicles and equipment to extinguish the fire, while about 20 residents were urgently evacuated.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the extent of the damage and the cause of the fire.
