[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Kim Yongtae, Supreme Council Member of the People Power Party, criticized the remarks of lawyer Jeong Cheolseung, the legal representative of the family of the late former Seoul Mayor Park Wonsoon, saying, "It could cause secondary harm to the sexual harassment victim of (former Mayor Park)" and "Save your abusive language for your diary."

Lawyer Jeong recently sparked controversy with statements such as "Avoid having female secretaries if possible," "Women's kindness is just like men working hard to be recognized," and "No man in our country surpasses former Mayor Park's gender sensitivity."

Jeong also announced his intention to sue former Dongyang University professor Jin Joongkwon for defamation of the deceased, after Jin criticized Jeong's remarks by saying, "Most men, whether sensitive or not, do not commit sexual harassment."

In response, Supreme Council Member Kim wrote on Facebook on the 4th, "Jeong's imagination is free," but pointed out, "(Jeong's) remarks are below common sense and could cause secondary harm to the victim who was sexually harassed by the late former Mayor Park."

He continued, "What exactly does lawyer Jeong Cheolseung want to gain from such remarks?" and sharply criticized, "The public feels fatigued by such below-standard remarks. Save your abusive language for your diary."

Kim also criticized the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "Why is the Democratic Party silently watching Jeong's abusive remarks that could cause secondary harm to the sexual harassment victim?" and "I want to ask the Democratic Party where the root of gender conflict lies."
