Police Conduct Search and Seizure Against TV Chosun Reporter Over Alleged Bribery by 'Fake Fisheries Businessman'


[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] The police conducted a search and seizure on TV Chosun reporter Jeong Mo (43, detained), who is suspected of receiving money and valuables from Kim Mo (43, detained), accused of impersonating a fisherman and offering bribes to influential figures.


According to the police on the 4th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Violent Crime Investigation Unit recently sent investigators to a location in Seoul to execute a search warrant. It is reported that the police secured communication devices and related materials through the search and seizure.


Jeong is suspected of having received graduate school tuition from Kim. Jeong, who has been booked on charges of violating the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act (Anti-Graft Act), underwent an approximately 10-hour investigation on the 25th of last month.
