KOSDAQ Also Records 1038 Points
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Both the KOSPI and KOSDAQ opened slightly higher.
On the 4th, the KOSPI opened at 3,246.65, up 0.29% (9.51 points) from the previous day. As of 9:27 AM, it recorded 3,244.34.
In the KOSPI market, foreigners continued net buying from the previous day, purchasing 132.7 billion KRW worth. Individuals and institutions were net sellers, offloading 87.3 billion KRW and 45.5 billion KRW respectively.
Most sectors showed gains. The transportation and warehousing sector had the largest increase at 1.02%, followed by insurance (0.73%), electrical and electronics (0.73%), textiles and apparel (0.58%), and pharmaceuticals (0.57%). Chemicals (-1.18%) and telecommunications (-0.82%) declined.
Among the top 10 market capitalization stocks, most rose. Celltrion had the largest gain at 2.45%, followed by SK Hynix (1.67%), Samsung Electronics (1.23%), Kakao (1.04%), NAVER (0.12%), and Samsung Biologics (0.22%). LG Chem (-1.64%), Samsung SDI (-1.47%), Hyundai Motor (-0.22%), and Kia (-0.12%) fell.
The KOSDAQ also opened slightly higher at 1,038.96, up 0.28% (2.85 points) from the previous day. As of 9:27 AM, it stood at 1,038.75.
In the KOSDAQ market, individuals were the sole net buyers, purchasing 50.6 billion KRW worth. Foreigners and institutions sold 28.3 billion KRW and 20.8 billion KRW respectively.
More sectors rose than fell. The internet sector had the largest increase at 2.36%, followed by distribution (1.94%), entertainment and culture (1.23%), and computer services (0.77%). Chemicals (-0.91%), paper and wood (-0.90%), and other manufacturing (-0.54%) declined.
Most of the top 10 market capitalization stocks declined. Ecopro BM had the largest drop at -2.36%, followed by Alteogen (-1.71%), SK Materials (-1.51%), HLB (-1.38%), Pearl Abyss (-1.27%), Seegene (-0.82%), and CJ ENM (-0.06%). Celltrion Healthcare (3.07%), Celltrion Pharm (2.53%), and Kakao Games (1.44%) rose.
