[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Food Pasteur announced on the 4th that it will launch Korea's first low-temperature pasteurized Pasteur milk package.
The label includes a detachable line for separate disposal, considering the environment. The label can be separated along the detachable line for recycling as plastic film, and the milk bottle as plastic. This enhances the convenience of separate disposal compared to the previous label with adhesive bonding.
By expanding the design area, it has become easier to check product information. A 63℃ low-temperature pasteurization emblem was added to the top of the bottle to emphasize the key feature of Pasteur milk.
The 'V'-shaped package, with a wider neck, is inspired by the stiff collar shape of European nobles in the Middle Ages, expressing the luxury of Pasteur. Considering consumers who found it difficult to hold and pour from the wide and round milk bottle, the top of the container was improved to fit comfortably in one hand. The cap's sealing power was enhanced to improve safety, and convenience was increased to allow consumption in one go.
The product line was changed to Fresh, Low-fat, and Probiotic. Non-fat milk, which had little distinction from low-fat milk, was discontinued, and 'Probiotic Milk' containing LB-9 was added. LB-9 is a patented plant-based probiotic derived from kimchi, jointly developed with Lotte Central Research Institute. The sterilization temperature of 63℃ is maintained for a long time of 30 minutes, preserving enzymes and beneficial bacteria in raw milk, while minimizing heat denaturation of nutrients such as calcium and protein and vitamin loss.
A Pasteur official said, “While renewing the package design, we incorporated sophistication, convenience, and eco-friendliness,” adding, “Although the design has changed, the healthiness and strict quality standards of Pasteur low-temperature pasteurized milk remain unchanged.”
