On the 4th, Seongnam City announced that it held an interim report meeting for the establishment of a development plan for the 'Biohealth Hub' to be created around the site of the Jeongja-dong Housing Exhibition Hall on the 3rd floor of Seongnam City Hall's Sanseong Nuri, attended by Eun Soo-mi, Mayor of Seongnam, and others.
According to the report on that day, the Seongnam Biohealth Hub will be developed as the center of the 'Seongnam-type Biohealth Belt' linking Bundang Venture Valley, Yatap Valley, High-Tech Valley, and Pangyo Techno Valley.
The area for the Biohealth Hub development is 100,000㎡, combining the Housing Exhibition Hall site (30,000㎡) and the surrounding park site (70,000㎡).
This place will have spaces for attracting companies, where biohealth companies such as biotech, medical devices, research and development, as well as corporate support facilities, hospitals, and university-related bioindustry facilities will be established.
Citizen healthcare experience centers, exhibition halls, worker housing, and citizen cultural and leisure spaces linked with Tancheon Stream will also be created together.
The city plans to strategically foster the digital healthcare sector capable of remote medical care and customized treatment by combining advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and artificial intelligence (AI).
To this end, Seongnam City will build an industry-academia-research-hospital-government cooperation network involving 13 institutions including Bundang Seoul National University Hospital and Bundang CHA Hospital, and 145 biohealth companies, and will provide communication and cooperation spaces within the Biohealth Hub.
The promotion of the Biohealth Hub development will be fully launched after completing the development plan establishment service in December, selecting the project implementer, and proceeding with the detailed design establishment and announcement procedures.
