[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Jeong Cheolseung, the legal representative of the family of the late former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, sparked controversy by claiming that "no man in our country can surpass former Mayor Park's gender sensitivity."

On the 3rd, Jeong wrote on his Facebook, "No man could have avoided the gender criticism that Park Won-soon faced," expressing this view.

Jeong pointed out, "While preparing for administrative lawsuits and criminal complaints related to the late former Mayor Park Won-soon, I have been reading 'The Birth of Tragedy' by reporter Son Byungkwan," adding, "Without reporter Son, I wonder what would have happened, as media reports and the Human Rights Commission's decisions on the Park case were unilaterally conveying only the victim's side claims."

'The Birth of Tragedy' is a book published by reporter Son, who covered Seoul City Hall during Park's tenure, containing arguments that there is no concrete evidence in the sexual harassment case against former Mayor Park. However, after the book's publication, some criticized it strongly as "secondary harm to the victim."

Regarding this, Jeong said, "If it weren't for reporter Son's book, Park Won-soon would have been enshrined in history as a perverted hypocrite."

Jeong also referred to the sexual assault case involving former Chungnam Governor Ahn Hee-jung's secretary, saying, "In Ahn's case, Ahn was at fault, and I believe I would not have committed such a mistake," but defended former Mayor Park by stating, "Park could never do that to himself."

Jeong currently represents the family of former Mayor Park in pursuing a defamation lawsuit against a reporter from a certain media outlet. Regarding this, he explained on his Facebook, "We are suing a newspaper reporter who wrote an article containing false information about former Mayor Park." Jeong also serves as the legal representative for the administrative lawsuit Park filed against the National Human Rights Commission in April.

Meanwhile, Jeong recently made a statement saying, "Do not have female employees in the secretariat."

In a post on Facebook on the 23rd of last month, he said, "I have advised all CEOs and executives of companies I consult for not to have dinners, meals, or even tea with female employees."

He continued, "Since the late former Mayor Park's case, I have strongly recommended not to have female secretaries at all," and lamented, "While giving such advice and recommendations, I always feel a sense of self-disgust, wondering what on earth this behavior is."
