Daegu Police Agency Leads Economic Support for Crime Victims

This agreement was made as part of the police's victim protection and support work and the International Lions Club's social contribution activities to support people struggling to make a living due to crime damage.

Accordingly, the Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency will review and recommend victims who are struggling to make a living, and the International Lions Club Daegu District will raise a fund of 10 million won to support about 1 million won per household.

Kim Jin-pyo, Chief of Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency, said, “We appreciate the International Lions Club Daegu District for showing interest and supporting crime victims,” and added, “As the police play a crucial role in the first contact with crime victims, we will do our best to help victims quickly return to their daily lives and find stability.”

Meanwhile, since 2015, the Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency has been providing not only personal protection activities for crime victims but also economic, psychological, and legal support, and will continue to provide economic support for victims struggling to make a living due to crime damage in cooperation with the local community.
