As of 5 p.m. on the 3rd, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Mokpo City stands at 185.
Case 180 is a man in his 30s, case 181 is a man in his 20s, and case 182 is a man in his 30s; all are foreign national seafarers.
They were classified as close contacts and had been in self-quarantine since the 29th of last month. On the 2nd, they tested positive in their second diagnostic test and were transferred to the Jeonnam Residential Treatment Center.
There was no breach of self-quarantine among them, and no movement routes or contacts have been identified.
Case 183 is a man in his 20s, case 184 is a male teenager, and case 185 is a woman in her 50s; all were tested on the 2nd and confirmed positive on the 3rd.
The city is conducting diagnostic tests on their cohabitants and is carrying out an in-depth epidemiological investigation regarding their movement routes and contacts.
A city official stated, “Confirmed cases continue to occur in Mokpo,” adding, “We urge strict compliance with quarantine rules such as social distancing and constant mask-wearing, and ask for refraining from visiting other regions, unnecessary private gatherings, and outings.”
