[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] The Blue House has stated that Tak Hyun-min, the Protocol Secretary, visited the United States on "an official business trip."

A Blue House official said on the 3rd, "President Moon Jae-in's attendance at the United Nations General Assembly has not yet been decided, and a decision will be made later considering various circumstances."

As it became known that Secretary Tak visited the United States, there have been speculations that President Moon might attend the UN General Assembly scheduled to be held in New York in September. It is customary for Blue House staff to visit the site for reconnaissance purposes while preparing for the president's overseas trips, and such interpretations arose regarding Secretary Tak's itinerary as well.
