[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Jin-in Jo Eun-san, who gained attention for his critical writings on the Moon Jae-in administration, is reported to have met with former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol.

On the 3rd, Jo stated on his blog, "I met former Prosecutor General Yoon at a Korean restaurant near Gwanghwamun, Seoul." The meeting is estimated to have taken place on the 23rd of last month. Jo is known for posting a critical government petition in the form of a memorial called 'Seven Proposals' on the Blue House's public petition site last year, which attracted significant attention.

He said, "I asked him why he investigated Cho Kuk, saying that he could have done politics comfortably but chose not to?was that your sense of justice?" He added, "He replied, 'The Cho Kuk investigation was neither justice nor politics. It was common sense.'" He further explained, "Surprisingly, he was cautious about 'justice.' He said that justice is ultimately a private human emotion, and the moment a prosecutor is influenced by a sense of justice, the investigation risks losing fairness. Therefore, as a professional, a prosecutor should base their actions on ethics and common sense rather than justice. He called this 'professional conscience.'"

Additionally, when Jo asked, "If you compare Mayweather, who dodges punches to avoid getting hit, and Tyson, who stubbornly takes hits aiming for a knockout, which style of politics would you prefer?" he said, "Without hesitation, he answered Tyson."
