[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Lee Seon-mi (21, Gangwon Province Office), a member of the Korean women's weightlifting team, failed to win a medal.
On the 2nd, at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics women's +87kg weightlifting final held at Tokyo International Forum, Lee Seon-mi recorded 125kg in the snatch, 152kg in the clean and jerk, with a total of 277kg. In the snatch, Lee succeeded in 118kg on her first attempt, 122kg on her second, and 125kg on her third, maintaining 3rd place overall.
In the clean and jerk, Lee lifted 148kg on her first attempt and 152kg on her second. She attempted 155kg on her final third attempt but unfortunately failed. With a total of 277kg, Lee finished in 4th place behind Li Wenwen (China), Emily Campbell (United Kingdom), and Sarah Robles (United States).
