Justice Party: "Lee Jun-seok, 'At the level of a blunder factory,' Yoon should be given a muzzle, not a lucky pouch"

Justice Party: "Lee Jun-seok, 'At the level of a blunder factory,' Yoon should be given a muzzle, not a lucky pouch" On the morning of the 2nd, Yoon Seok-yeol, a presidential candidate who recently joined the People Power Party, visited Lee Jun-seok, the party leader, Kim Ki-hyun, the floor leader, and the Supreme Council members at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, to greet them.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Soyoung] The Justice Party strongly criticized Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, saying, "If former Prosecutor General Yoon joins the party, Lee Jun-seok, the party leader who promised to give three lucky bags, should give him a muzzle instead of lucky bags."

Justice Party spokesperson Oh Hyun-joo said in a written briefing on the 2nd, "Candidate Yoon Seok-yeol is causing controversy with a series of inappropriate remarks. Not only one outrageous remark a day but at the level of an outrageous remark factory," expressing this view.

Spokesperson Oh said, "In a recent interview, Yoon said that even 'substandard food' should be available at a low price for those who have nothing," adding, "This is akin to the lowly perception that poor people in the tail car of Snowpiercer should be fed cockroach jelly."

He criticized, "He also said that eating substandard food does not cause immediate death," and "It is as if he said that working 120 hours does not cause immediate death either."

Oh also mentioned Yoon’s remarks during a lecture for first-term lawmakers of the People Power Party that day. He said, "Candidate Yoon said, 'A house is a daily necessity. Unless it is a very expensive house, taxing daily necessities is not normal,'" and pointed out, "He is making contradictory and absurd remarks by calling a house a daily necessity while arguing against regulating monopolies."

Furthermore, "When discussing the causes of low birth rates, Candidate Yoon said, 'There is also talk that feminism is politically abused too much and emotionally blocks healthy relationships between men and women,'" adding, "This is a typical pre-modern view that regards women only as birth machines. It is truly regrettable what kind of private tutoring he has had all this time and whether gender studies were included in that tutoring."

Spokesperson Oh called on the People Power Party, saying, "We ask the People Power Party: Will you just stand by as your party’s presidential candidate’s minimum standards collapse so miserably?" and raised his voice, "If People Power Party candidates are not competing to see who can lower the minimum standard of our people's lives first, then immediately take action to control the candidates."
