Shinhan Bank Launches 'Dugeun Dugeun Baengbaeng' Series with Customer Participation Events for Each Episode

A Financial Fantasy Romance Webtoon Created Together with Customers

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Bank announced on the 2nd that it will serialize the webtoon "Dugeun Dugeun Baeng Baeng," featuring a bank employee as the main character, regularly every month on its official Instagram channel.

Shinhan Bank planned the webtoon, preferred by the MZ generation, to share newly introduced future financial services through digital innovation with the MZ generation, and collaborated with webtoon artist NyangNyangPunch.

"Dugeun Dugeun Baeng Baeng" portrays various episodes occurring at the bank, with a warm emotional touch combined with fantasy romance elements, featuring a bank employee working at Shinhan Bank's digital innovation branch, the Digilog Branch Seosomun.

In particular, Shinhan Bank conducts various events from Monday to Thursday during the last week of each month when the webtoon is serialized to communicate with customers. Events include solving quizzes related to the webtoon, predicting the next story, and submitting warm experiences customers have had at Shinhan Bank, which are then reflected in future storylines, creating the webtoon together with customers.

A Shinhan Bank official said, "With the opening of the Digilog Branch, which serves as a digital test bed, we prepared this webtoon to approach the MZ generation as an innovative and trendy bank," adding, "We ask for your great interest in 'Dugeun Dugeun Baeng Baeng,' which will become more exciting through customer participation."
