Kakao Group Purchase 'Tokdeal' Exclusive Membership to Launch

[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kakao Commerce announced on the 2nd that it will introduce a membership concept to KakaoTalk group purchase 'TokDeal'.

The newly launched 'TokDeal Gift Card Level' is a system where users can receive reward points when they open or purchase TokDeal products.

The TokDeal Gift Card is a system that provides Kakao Shopping Points worth 1,000 KRW when purchasing TokDeal products priced at 10,000 KRW or more. It can only be gifted to KakaoTalk friends and cannot be used by the purchaser themselves.

The newly introduced membership levels are determined based on the number of times the user shares with friends, with a total of five membership levels. Additionally, purchasers can accumulate 0.5% to 3.5% Kakao Shopping Points depending on their membership level.

Kim Hyunjung, head of KakaoTalk Shopping, said, "We are introducing a special membership unique to Shopping that adds benefits to the altruistic TokDeal gift card that purchasers can gift to acquaintances," and added, "We will continue to develop unique services that can be experienced through Shopping, such as TokDeal, gift cards, and membership."
