Hwalbindan Files Police Complaint Against Bookstore Owner of 'Julie Mural' for "Human Rights Violation"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] On the 1st, Halbindan filed a police complaint against the owner of a used bookstore who installed the 'Julie mural' containing defamatory content about Kim Geon-hee, wife of former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, on charges of defamation.

After submitting the complaint on the same day, Halbindan issued a press release stating that the mural "inflicted political violence on former Prosecutor General Yoon and committed human rights violations amounting to character assassination disguised as freedom of expression against Yoon's wife."

Previously, two murals containing defamatory phrases about Kim, such as 'Julie's Men' and 'Julie's Dream! The First Lady's Dream!' were posted on the side wall of a used bookstore building in Gwancheol-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
