The total cumulative number of confirmed cases in Daegu is 11,692, with 11,446 being local infections and 246 imported cases.

As of midnight on the 1st, Daegu city announced that the 23 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were all local transmission cases.

Currently, 570 confirmed patients are in isolation treatment, with 461 hospitalized across 13 hospitals and 108 receiving care at residential treatment centers.

On the previous day, 42 patients recovered, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 11,100.

Among the 23 additional confirmed cases, 2 were contacts related to the Suseong-gu sports facility, increasing the total cumulative cases linked to the facility to 143.

Also, 1 contact related to a foreign grocery store in Jung-gu tested positive, bringing the total to 54 cases.

One secondary contact of a karaoke practice room case in Dalseo-gu and one secondary contact related to the Jung-gu market were confirmed positive.

Three additional confirmed cases were contacts related to a workplace in Jung-gu.

As of midnight on the 1st, the cumulative number of vaccine recipients in Daegu is 846,936 for the first dose, representing a 35.3% vaccination rate of the total population, and 309,059 citizens have completed vaccination, accounting for 12.9% of Daegu’s population.
