[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] E-Land Foundation and the international development cooperation NGO G Foundation announced on the 1st that they have signed a business agreement for a voucher program to support low-income households.

The signing ceremony took place at the G Foundation office located in Mapo-gu, Seoul, with E-Land Foundation Director Kim Wook and G Foundation Director Jeong Sun-ho, along with other project officials in attendance.

Through this agreement, both organizations will carry out a voucher program to support low-income single-parent families within the local community. G Foundation will provide the supported families with monthly vouchers worth 50,000 KRW, which can be used at the ‘G Foundation Sharing Stores (Hongdae Entrance Branch and Gimpo Hangang Branch)’ to purchase desired goods. E-Land Foundation will donate goods to the Sharing Stores to promote resource circulation. The supported families are recommended through local government offices such as district offices and community centers and finalized through E-Land Foundation’s screening process.

Meanwhile, as the COVID-19 pandemic prolongs, E-Land Foundation has continued its support for low-income single-parent families facing economic and emotional difficulties by signing agreements with organizations such as Goodwill Store operated by Milal Welfare Foundation and the social enterprise Happy Sharing Foundation operated by Hope Friends Korea.

G Foundation, which signed the agreement with E-Land Foundation this time, is an international development cooperation NGO authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2016. It actively conducts various projects including domestic child and youth support programs, support for elderly living alone, social economy projects, and overseas development assistance focusing on education and healthcare in developing countries.
