[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Koreans returning from Myanmar will be quarantined in a facility for one week even if they test negative for COVID-19 upon entry.

According to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's "Strengthened Quarantine Measures for Overseas Entrants from Myanmar" on the 1st, the authorities decided to enhance quarantine measures for entrants due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases and deaths in Myanmar.

The KDCA stated, "The cost of facility quarantine will be covered by the national government."
