Andong-si, Recruiting 135 for Hope Job Project ... Assigned to Vaccination Centers and Daily Quarantine

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Andong City is recruiting participants for the '2021 Hope Job Project' until the 6th, targeting vulnerable groups and those who have experienced job loss or business closure due to COVID-19.

The '2021 Hope Job Project' is part of a Ministry of the Interior and Safety national fund project, providing temporary public jobs to vulnerable groups as the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic intensifies employment shocks. Approximately 20 personnel will be hired to support the COVID-19 vaccination centers, and about 115 personnel for daily quarantine and environmental maintenance.

The project period is three months, from September 6 to December 3. Eligibility requires applicants to be residents aged 18 or older in need of livelihood support, with household income at or below 65% of the median income standard.

Working hours range from 20 to 40 hours per week depending on the nature of the project, and wages are 8,720 KRW per hour, with an additional allowance of 5,000 KRW paid separately for actual working days. Citizens wishing to participate should bring their ID and apply at the administrative welfare center in their resident registration address's eup, myeon, or dong.

An Andong City official stated, "We will do our best to provide temporary jobs to economically vulnerable employment groups to promote livelihood stability, recover the local economy, and create stable jobs."
