[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Seoul city announced that the number of new COVID-19 cases in Seoul was tentatively counted at 459 from 0:00 to 9:00 PM on Saturday the 31st, a period of 21 hours.
Compared to the same time frame, it is 1 less than the 460 cases on the previous day (30th) and 19 less than the 478 cases on last Saturday (24th). The total number of cases for the entire day was 476 on the 30th and 489 on the 24th.
The daily number of cases in Seoul rose to the 300s at the end of last month, then surged to the 500s this month, breaking the highest record twice with 583 cases on the 6th and 638 cases on the 13th. Recently, weekday cases have hovered around 500, with a spike on Tuesdays followed by a gradual decrease.
As of this time, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul is tentatively counted at 64,818.
