[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] The Korea Communications Commission announced on the 1st that it has begun the application process for directors of the Korea Educational Broadcasting System (EBS) in accordance with the 'Appointment Plan for Executives of Korean Broadcasting System, Korea Broadcasting Culture Promotion Foundation, and Korea Educational Broadcasting System' approved at the full meeting last month.
The application period is from the 2nd to the 13th. After the application deadline, the submitted applications will be disclosed on the KCC website to receive public opinions and inquiries about the applicants.
In this director recruitment, the public can review the applicants' expertise and representation in various fields and directly provide their opinions. Additionally, through the newly introduced interview evaluation, KCC standing commissioners will question the applicants on behalf of the public and disclose key Q&A contents, thereby expanding public participation.
Meanwhile, as stated in the previous KCC announcement, applicants for directors of the Korean Broadcasting System or the Korea Broadcasting Culture Promotion Foundation cannot apply simultaneously for the director position at the Korea Educational Broadcasting System.
