[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] As the COVID-19 pandemic prolongs and people spend more time at home, AI-based services that add convenience to daily life through technology are attracting attention.
According to industry sources on the 31st, AI platforms are gaining popularity by being usefully applied in various aspects of everyday life, from friendly investment services to apps that help prepare for interviews and display call contents like chat messages.

AI Automatically Executes Global Diversified Investments
Fint, an AI simple investment financial platform operated by December & Company Asset Management (CEO Jung Inyoung), supports anyone to easily and conveniently use discretionary investment services, which are the main wealth management tools for high-net-worth individuals, by utilizing proprietary AI technology.
Unlike complex and difficult financial platforms, Fint has rapidly grown into a leading robo-advisor simple investment service in Korea within about two years of its launch due to its user-friendly interface. The recently revamped Fint app is mainly divided into three categories: Home, Investment, and Wallet, enhancing user convenience and intuitiveness.
The Home screen, which users first encounter upon app access, has been upgraded to a ‘personalized home screen’ that gathers only the essential information for each individual at a glance. Customers can quickly check various information such as current investment trends, returns, monthly additional investments, ISAAC reports, and dollar exchange rates within the home screen without switching tabs.
The Investment tab allows users to view information on all currently managed investment accounts at a glance. Simulated investments are also separated as distinct investment accounts and can be checked alongside actual investment accounts. The detailed page provides access to deposit and withdrawal details, new investment account openings, and investment documents.
In the Wallet tab, users can experience Fint’s new services ‘Fint Money’ and ‘Fint Card,’ which connect everyday consumption with investment. Fint Money can be easily recharged through open banking linkage and can be quickly used for investment deposits and withdrawals, remittances, and payments. The Fint Card is a prepaid check card partnered with BC Card and can be applied for directly within the app. When paying with the Fint Card, users can receive up to 0.7% cashback and investment support benefits, and it also offers a ‘spare change piggy bank’ feature that reinvests change under 1,000 KRW back into Fint investments.
Effectively Prepare for Interviews with AI-Analyzed Diagnostic Reports
‘I’m Ground,’ an AI-based video mock interview app by Saramin, a job matching platform, allows job seekers to record mock interview videos themselves, which Saramin’s AI then analyzes across eight factors including facial expressions, voice, pronunciation, speed, and eye contact, providing the results in report form.
‘I’m Ground’ is available immediately upon logging in as a Saramin member. It is designed for convenient use anytime and anywhere on mobile devices, with an easy and intuitive design and UI to enhance user convenience.
The report offers detailed interview coaching, including the job seeker’s interview style, areas for improvement, and practical tips applicable in real interviews, enabling effective interview practice and helping prepare not only for face-to-face interviews but also for potentially unfamiliar AI interviews.
A representative of I’m Ground stated, “What distinguishes I’m Ground is providing interview solutions tailored to each job seeker through mock interviews. The mock interviews and aptitude tests feature different questions depending on the job applied for and whether the applicant is entry-level or experienced, enabling more effective interview preparation.”

Converting Call Contents to Text with Various Features like Search and Partial Playback
ReturnZero, a voice recognition AI startup, has launched ‘VITO,’ a service that converts call recording files stored on phones into text and displays them like chat messages.
South Korea, which uses the unique language ‘Korean,’ has been somewhat marginalized in the global voice recognition AI market. ReturnZero introduced VITO recognizing that the low level of Korean voice recognition across domestic industries causes many missed opportunities to enter larger innovation markets.
VITO uses voice recognition and speaker separation technology to display call recordings in a messenger-style speech bubble interface (UI/UX). Additionally, it offers convenient features such as searching call contents, replaying, exporting as images and text, saving voice, and taking notes.
Thanks to these advantages, VITO has gained popularity not only among general users who want to record and manage call contents but especially among office workers who frequently make phone calls. The cumulative downloads increased from 91,000 in July last year to 363,000 as of now.
A VITO representative said, “The cumulative voice recognition processing time grew from 130,000 hours in June last year to 2.1 million hours in the same period this year, achieving more than 16 times growth. As the most widely used voice recognition engine in Korea, we will focus on improving the service.”
