[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] The head of a disability education facility in Ulsan, who was suspected of sexually assaulting a disabled person, took an extreme measure ahead of a police investigation.

According to the police on the 30th, Mr. A, a progressive education figure in Ulsan and the head of a disability education facility, was found dead around 4:18 p.m. on the 27th in a mountain area in Buk-gu, Ulsan. No suicide note or particular signs of a crime were found at the scene.

Mr. A was about to be investigated by the police on suspicion of sexually assaulting Ms. B, a disabled woman attending the facility he represents. The suspicion arose after Ms. B reported the incident to the Disabled Sexual Violence Counseling Center, prompting the police to launch an investigation.

The police stated, "No evidence of homicide was found during the on-site investigation," and added, "We believe he took his own life."

Mr. A was a former regional leader of the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union (JeonGyoJo) and had been actively involved in local community activities, including serving as a representative of civic organizations.

The police plan to close the case following Mr. A's death.
