'Not Afraid Anymore' A Great Achievement Made Through the Hot Passion for Startup

[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 30th that Kim Song-jo, a Chinese-born marriage immigrant residing in Muan-eup, won the Excellence Award in the 2021 Women and Family Friendly (Preliminary) Social Enterprise Business Idea Contest hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family earlier this month.
The Muan County Family Center connected Kim Song-jo to the Jeonnam Family Foundation's native language counselor training course, and based on this, Kim Song-jo challenged the contest with the idea of "Multinational Cuisine Made by Multicultural Women ? Baro Cooking Meal Kit," achieving good results.
Kim Song-jo said, "As a marriage immigrant, I have often faced barriers," and added, "Winning this contest has been an opportunity to gain confidence and courage in living in Korea."
Oh Mae-ja, director of the Muan County Family Center, said, "Kim Song-jo has often shown her capabilities by also working as a Chinese language instructor, and she actively participated in this contest and achieved good results, which makes me very proud."
Governor Kim San stated, "This year, we are conducting employment training for 20 marriage immigrants in our county," and added, "We will continue to develop job creation and training programs so that immigrants can overcome their fear of employment, acquire qualifications, and advance into society."
