Busan Police Chief Lee Gyumun Donates to 'Republic of Korea Social Vaccine' Campaign Fund

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan police raised 19 million won by asking people to share a vaccine. This vaccine is not Pfizer or Moderna, but a ‘social vaccine.’

On the 30th, the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency announced that it joined the ‘Korea Social Vaccine’ campaign organized by the Community Chest of Korea to help solve social problems caused by COVID-19.

At 11 a.m. that day, Busan Police Chief Lee Gyu-moon and employee representatives delivered a donation of 18.97 million won raised by the Busan Police Agency and frontline police stations to the Community Chest of Korea, also known as the ‘Fruit of Love.’

This money, coming from the police’s own pockets, will be used for education and care for children and adolescents, academic expenses for the 2030 generation, employment and career issues, living expenses for families in crisis, and support for housing and medical expenses.
