[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A singing pub in Busan that was caught violating the assembly ban administrative order was caught again operating late at night just five days later.

According to the Busanjin Police Station on the 30th, at around 2:40 a.m. that day, a report was received via 112 that a singing pub in Busanjin-gu, Busan was operating during the assembly ban period.

The police confirmed that the establishment had been previously caught secretly operating a few days ago and dispatched a patrol car from the Seomyeon Police Substation to the scene.

The police blocked all escape routes including the front and back doors of the establishment, forcibly opened the entrance, and entered inside, catching a total of 17 people including the owner, two employees, and 15 customers who were drinking alcohol.

The police decided to criminally prosecute the 17 people caught for violating the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act.

Due to the revision of the Infectious Disease Prevention Act's penalty provisions, not only the owner and employees but also the customers will face criminal penalties with fines of up to 3 million won instead of administrative fines of up to 3 million won.

This establishment was also caught secretly operating on the night of the 25th while the doors were closed.

Busan police also caught one holdem pub violating the assembly ban administrative order and one restaurant violating the ban on in-store operations after 10 p.m.

One holdem pub located in Buk-gu was secretly operating with the entrance door locked at around 9:40 p.m. on the 29th during the assembly ban period, resulting in the owner and nine customers being caught.

On the same day, a restaurant in Haeundae-gu violated the ban on in-store operations after 10 p.m. and operated until 11:40 p.m., resulting in the owner and eight customers being caught.

In Busan, from the 19th of last month until August 1, an administrative order banning gatherings has been issued for entertainment facilities including nightclubs, karaoke bars, clubs, nightclubs, emotional pubs, hunting pochas, as well as colatecs, dance halls, holdem pubs and holdem game rooms, and singing practice rooms (including coin singing practice rooms).
