[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hankook Tire & Technology announced on the 30th that it will participate in nurturing future core talents through an industry-academia cooperation agreement with the Daejeon Design Promotion Agency, a public design innovation support institution.
Hankook Tire will conduct an industry-academia project with students participating in the "World-Class Practical Designer Training Project," hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, to discover new concepts and ideas.
This project is scheduled to run until November 30 and involves a total of 12 students, including 9 majoring in product design and 3 majoring in visual, UX, and service fields.
Hankook Tire explained that based on its innovative design philosophy, it has been conducting various projects related to creative ideas and design to prepare for and lead changes in the future market beyond the current tire industry and to strengthen competitiveness.
Students participating in this industry-academia project will be awarded certificates of completion. A tour program of the Hankook Technodome, the Hankook Tire research institute, will also be provided.
