[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seongap) is operating a ‘Screening Clinic Waiting Status Board’ to consider the convenience of residents waiting to get tested for COVID-19 amid the heatwave.

The district posted waiting status boards for the temporary screening clinics at Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center, Junggok Health Subcenter, and Jayang Health Subcenter at the top of the Gwangjin-gu website.

By pressing the refresh button, residents can check the estimated waiting time in real-time, allowing them to choose and visit the screening clinic with the shortest wait time.

In addition, to prevent heat-related illnesses among residents waiting for tests, the district changed the waiting line location toward natural shade areas so that people can sit comfortably while waiting.

Also, an information board displaying the estimated waiting time is provided at each waiting spot to help alleviate concerns about the waiting time.

Kim Seongap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “As confirmed cases continue to rise and the heatwave persists, those waiting face many difficulties. Gwangjin-gu posts real-time status boards on the website for residents’ convenience, so please check before coming to reduce your waiting time.”
