[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Blue House stated regarding the separated families' video reunion that it is "the most practical method that can be immediately implemented under the current COVID-19 situation" and expressed its commitment to making efforts to continue inter-Korean consultations.

A Blue House official responded to reporters' questions on the 29th, saying, "The government has repeatedly stated that the issue of separated families is the most urgent humanitarian matter and must be resolved as a top priority."

The official added, "In particular, the video reunion is an agreement between the South and North Korean leaders and the most practical method that can be immediately implemented under the current COVID-19 situation. Since an agreement between the two Koreas is necessary for the separated families' video reunion, we will strive to ensure that inter-Korean consultations continue."

Regarding the first Minsheng Economy Ministers' Meeting held that afternoon, when asked whether the meetings would be held regularly in the future, the official said, "There are no plans." When asked if Deputy Prime Minister for Economy Hong Nam-ki made any additional remarks about real estate during the meeting, the official replied, "There were no separate remarks."
