Yeosu-si, Entry Records for All Multi-use Facilities via Safe Call

Free Support for 'Safe Call Phone Entry Service' at All Multi-use Facilities in the District

Yeosu-si, Entry Records for All Multi-use Facilities via Safe Call

[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Sim Kyung-taek] Jeonnam Yeosu City announced on the 29th that starting from August 2, it will expand the ‘Safe Call Phone Entry Service’ to all 10,496 multi-use facilities in the area for COVID-19 quarantine management and rapid epidemiological investigations.

Since last year, Yeosu City has been implementing the phone entry management service at public offices and 67 traditional markets, but to enable rapid epidemiological investigations, it has decided to provide free support to all multi-use facilities until the COVID-19 situation ends.

The Safe Call phone entry management service prevents personal information leakage and misuse caused by handwritten logs and resolves inconveniences for IT-vulnerable groups who have difficulty using QR codes by allowing visit records to be confirmed with a single phone call.

When entering the facility, calling the provided unique number sends the visitor’s entry time and mobile phone number to a separate computer server, which is automatically deleted after four weeks.

The facilities supported by this Safe Call service include nine types of priority management facilities (entertainment and karaoke bars, colatecs, coin karaoke practice rooms, restaurants, cafes, etc.), 14 types of general management facilities (bathhouses, arcades, PC rooms, indoor sports facilities, hair and beauty salons, etc.), religious facilities, and social welfare facilities.

The city has completed the assignment of numbers and plans to finish distributing promotional materials to all facilities by the 1st of next month.

A Yeosu City official said, “The expansion of the Safe Call service will solve the reliability issues of handwritten logs and greatly help efficient quarantine management and rapid epidemiological investigations. We ask all citizens to actively participate in using the Safe Call phone service so that everyone can feel safe.”
