[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] On the 29th, a meeting among the party's presidential primary candidates was held at the People Power Party's central office in Yeouido, Seoul. Eleven preliminary candidates, including Kim Tae-ho, Park Jin, Ahn Sang-soo, Yoo Seung-min, Yoon Hee-sook, Won Hee-ryong, Jang Ki-pyo, Choi Jae-hyung, Ha Tae-kyung, Hong Joon-pyo, and Hwang Kyo-ahn (in alphabetical order), attended the meeting. They listened to explanations about the presidential primary rules prepared by the party's primary preparation committee and shared their opinions on the operation methods.

The People Power Party's primary preparation committee confirmed that the first cut-off in the preliminary primary will be decided 100% through a national public opinion poll. Based on this, the number of candidates will be narrowed down to eight who will pass the first cut-off on September 15.
