Boseong County Holds Quality Certification Review Meeting for 'Boseong Green Tea' Guaranteed by County Governor

Securing Consumer Trust through Military Quality Certification Evaluation

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Boseong-gun, the green tea capital (Governor Kim Cheol-woo), announced on the 29th that it held the Boseong Green Tea Governor's Quality Certification Review Meeting on the 27th.

In this certification evaluation, a total of 37 products were submitted from 30 tea manufacturing and processing companies in the area, and as a result of the evaluation, 33 products from 26 companies received the Governor's Quality Certification.

The review committee consists of 10 expert judges for the Boseong Green Tea Governor's Quality Certification, and conducts a sensory evaluation using the five senses on five items: the appearance of the tea, the color of the brewed tea, aroma, taste, and the shape of the brewed leaves.

To pass the review, a score of 85 or higher out of 100 points must be obtained, after which a quality certificate is issued and the certification mark can be attached to the product for sale.

Now in its 13th year, the Governor's Quality Certification system targets only green tea produced in Boseong, enhancing external competitiveness through safe quality management of Boseong green tea and securing consumer trust.

Park Woo-yuk, Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Boseong Green Tea Governor's Quality Certification Review Committee, said, "Maintaining the quality of premium Boseong green tea is the way to be loved by consumers, so we will take on this heavy responsibility and strive for post-quality management and technology development."

Meanwhile, the Governor's Quality Certification system plays a major role in enhancing the reputation and brand value of Boseong green tea by providing consumers with criteria to select safe and high-quality premium green tea.
